A Story of Hope | Relief Came in the Form of a Meal

Eleven-year-old Kethura in Haiti knew what it was like to skip school because she did not have food to bring. Along with her seven siblings, her family’s resources just simply could not stretch far enough for all of the children every day. Her parents work hard as a construction worker and a small trader, but the political unrest and crisis in Haiti have caused skyrocketing inflation and instability for everyone.
But relief came in the form of a consistent meal at school. The school she attended became a part of the Mission of Hope nutrition program, and she and her classmates can now count on a meal every day. Kethura shared with us that because of the food, her life changed. “I am present at school every day! And I know I’ll receive a healthy meal. It’s a big blessing for my family.”
Encouraging stories like this of children receiving nutritious meals are because of the faithful giving of donors just like you. Thank you for your faithful support of ministry taking place in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. You are a blessing to many!
