Hope in Buena Vista

Recently, a group served in Buena Vista, Dominican Republic, for four days, joining in the continued investment that Mission of Hope has been making in the community.
A community leader shared the story of a woman who had never opened her door to visitors. Mission of Hope teams have visited multiple times over the years, but she had never been ready to open up. However, this past visit, she not only opened her door but also engaged in conversation and decided to go to church with the team. That same afternoon, she also brought her kids to Kids Club.
It’s a reminder that faithfully sharing the message of Jesus matters, even when change doesn’t happen overnight.
This kind of moment is only possible because of the ongoing work Mission of Hope is doing in Buena Vista and because of those who give to sustain it. Building long-lasting relationships within the communities of the DR and Haiti is at the center of this work.
Thank you for making it possible to stay, invest, and keep showing up until doors open and lives are impacted.
