Going to the ends of the earth to make a difference in Haiti

Even in political turmoil and other challenges, the generosity of those who support the ministry of Mission of Hope has allowed work to continue. The past several months have been full of stories we hope to share when it’s safe; we are not currently sharing details in order for confidential operations to continue. The story below shows the determination of our Haitian staff and accurately represents both the plight and the heart of our friends in Haiti.
Recently, a group of our staff called village champions embarked on a challenging journey to a remote village in Haiti. Remote in that it takes a special-made vehicle to make it to a particular place, and there is still a several-hour hike to make it to the people. The hearts of our staff broke when they heard how this remote village had been cut off and unable to get food for their families. They knew they had to do something. These were neighbors—mothers, grandfathers, children, brothers, and friends.
They traveled difficult roads and hiked for hours carrying boxes of meals along a narrow pathway. They would not let a treacherous path keep them from reaching their destination and serving their neighbors in need. Despite the danger, they persevered—showing the true spirit of the Haitian people.

In Acts 1:8, we’re reminded of our calling to be witnesses to the ends of the earth. In Matthew 25:35, we are called to feed the hungry and care for those in need. These callings are being lived out and the love of God is being shared with those in need in Haiti—hope is not lost. Your support has made it possible for us to follow this biblical mandate and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. We are so grateful for your partnership in this important work.
This is simply one story of countless that have taken place lately. God is working through His people, reminding one another of the eternal hope possible through Jesus Christ. The trials of this world will end, but He has called and equipped us to represent Him to a hurting world during the challenges.
If you would like to make a donation to support the work, your gift will make an incredible impact and help us reach even more people in need.

Neika's Story of Hope Neika, a student in one of the schools in our nutrition program, recently shared her story. "When my mom was pregnant with me, my dad left. My mom was always the one who took care of me. And then, in 2021, my mom died. I can still remember the day so clearly. I felt so hopeless when I lost my mom. I didn't know what would happen to me. My mom's cousin is a teacher, and she and her husband took me in to care for me. They put me in school. I thank God for them every day. Today, I am in the 6th grade! And I love school. Math is my favorite subject—it makes me feel smart when I can solve a problem. I also love getting to be with friends at school and eating lunch together. The food helps us focus, which is important—especially during exam time. One day, I dream of becomin
