Jean's Story

Earlier this year, we shared Jean’s* story after he was welcomed into a rehabilitation center in Santiago. He was facing difficult circumstances and needed a safe place, support, and people who would walk alongside him. The local church stepped in to provide that care.

Your generosity helps Mission of Hope come alongside local churches as they care for young people like Jean, and today, we’re inviting you to help that work continue.

Over the past several months, Jean has grown in confidence, become more involved in his church community, and deepened his relationship with Christ.

As his desire to follow Jesus grew, he began asking about baptism. His pastor encouraged him to wait and continue growing in his faith. Jean patiently trusted that guidance, kept praying, and continued seeking the Lord.

Then, the day came: Jean was baptized.

What began with a young man needing a safe place has become a story of faith, community, and hope.

Young people facing these circumstances need safety, consistent care, and the opportunity to hear about the hope found in Jesus. Through local church partnerships, we can help meet practical needs while sharing eternal hope.
