HAITI | EDUCATION + PHILO STUDENTS

We are praising God for the 177 Philo students in Haiti who took their state exams recently! This is a monumental feat and shows the courage, determination, and character of the students in our school. This year has been anything but easy for all of our students, but thanks to the dedication of our Haitian staff, 177 students completed their philo exams and graduated! In a country where a small fraction of the population graduates, this deserves significant celebration.

Madame Flore, the Mission of Hope Education Superintendent, shared:

We are very proud of this! We didn’t anticipate everything that would happen during this school year. Completing the state exams shows the perseverance of the students, the teachers, and the team. The team was very motivated, doing everything possible, asking, ‘How can we reopen classes?’ Sometimes, we didn’t see how God was going to make a way, but working together and with God’s protection—God allowed it!

Many families left the area for safety when the gang violence escalated, but when they knew their kids could get back into class, they returned. Students and their families know that education is far too valuable to miss out on—it is life-changing.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | HOPEGO

This summer was one for the books for HopeGo trips in the Dominican Republic! The magnitude of impact extends far beyond one week, and we are encouraged by the enthusiastic gratitude of the local pastors and leaders we served this summer. From kids clubs, mobile clinics, VBS, sports camps, construction projects, pastoral training, and more—local churches were infused with vibrancy and joy from churches all over North America who came to serve their communities. One highlight is that several HopeGo teams were able to participate in helping pack hundreds of grocery bags for local pastors for the Family Assistance Program.

It’s been a FULL summer of impact. Approximately 6,200 kids were served and heard the gospel through 37 sports camps and 25 kids clubs that were hosted!

Neika's Story of Hope Neika, a student in one of the schools in our nutrition program, recently shared her story. "When my mom was pregnant with me, my dad left. My mom was always the one who took care of me. And then, in 2021, my mom died. I can still remember the day so clearly. I felt so hopeless when I lost my mom. I didn't know what would happen to me. In 2024, God has brought hope to those with nowhere else to turn, and your generosity has made this possible. Thank you for meeting the needs of people you may never meet in person yet whose lives have been transformed because of your support. Through your faithful generosity, you have demonstrated how Jesus is always near to the hurting and broken. 20.5 million meals were delivered across the island, and we saw incredible life change—from how God protected our staff in Haiti, deliverance with food security, and bringing hope to the most vulnerable. One Mission launched, including the deployment of our ship, True North, which has delivered life-s
